  2. Question number 1
The language is a human universal
Language is both creative an functional
Language and culture are closely related

Well, the language is human universal, in other word is necessary the communication with other person for example: when you are going to travel to USA, or Paris is necessary speaks that language, because if you want to eat, you will need to speak, and how it says comer in English.

Example 2: if you want to learn the language, it will be important to travel wherever country, because when you don not stay in your country where did you born, you will learn that language too fast, you hear carefully, you try to speak yes or yes.

  3. 1 language is a human universal
all people around the world have different language , also that happen with some students in the school have different habits or methods to learns a new language
    2 LANGUAGE IS SYSTEMATIC
we have students , that they are cleavers and the have different pronunciation , but in some case is hard to understand , so as teacher we need to teach a correct pronuntation and how to use the correct grammar all time because is well when they are learning a new language.

3 NO LANGUAGE IS WHOLLY REGULAR
in all time as talk english it was changed, however learn and teach the correct grammar in the classroom for example in the kindergarden they need to know a new vocabulary all time.

2 A the correct way to help chilndrens is read every day
B other point is write some story about what did they do that day
C write a letter and then say that they need to send someone special
D play with them plays finnies as table games

  4. QUESTION 1 :Three facts about language, explain each one of them in your own words, and provide two examples on how each one of them applies to English.
    a) All languages enable speakers to create new utterances: it refers to the ability of humans to create new words according to their region or context. For example: In Honduras we use the word whatsapeando that derives from the word whatsapp, or the word guachiman that is derived from the word watchman.
    b) Language change: Language is always changing, evolving, and adapting to the needs of people, it means that we don’t t speak in the same way that the last century was spoken, especially because new technologies, new products, and new experiences require new words to refer to them clearly and efficiently. Example: The word texting: originally it was called text messaging. Other example is that we borrow words from other languages (sushi), we create them by shortening longer words (gym from gymnasium) or by combining words (brunch from breakfast and lunch), etc…
    c) Language and culture are closely related: is the way people share human values, realities and behaviours of a social group. Example: When different languages or dialects are spoken in the same country, there is one that is commonly used for communication between cultures.
Language is formed by culture. This is clearly seen in immigrant societies in, for example, in USA. The immigrants are accustomed to a certain language, and therefore, despite the assimilation, will continue to use it and keep it alive, creating different and cultured societies in that foreign land to keep the language alive.

QUESTION 2 : Mention at least five ways in which parents and family members can start developing "Emergent Literacy" at home.
-The way in which parents can help their children is to expose their children to the language. They should listen to English at home, not just at school. Example Telling them Stories and singing songs..
-Asking if he/she knows how to say a certain word.
    - Placing children's videos, games and songs in English on the computer, phone or tablet.
-Learning based on the game in the family environment is extremely important because, in some cases, it may be one of the only opportunities for children to choose their own activities.
    - It is important to get them to play outdoors , in that way they explore their world, they relate to other children, and they live their own experiences.
    - Routinized storybook-reading practices, especially on reading of picture books.

QUESTION 3 : Mention at least five ways in which preschool teachers can continue developing "Emergent Literacy" once students arrive to their classroom.
-Establish routines: when routines are established, kids begin to learn about objects and vocabulary associated with certain activities.
-Read Aloud: Kids benefit from reading aloud. It is a time for them to enjoy special individual attention, to reinforce language and concept development.
-Talking, singing, playing sound and word games.
-Reading, writing and drawing with the kids are great ways to set up a good literacy foundation.
-Talking activities: Ask children to tell you something they enjoyed doing at school that week, or how they feel in some situations, or talk about their future.

  5. Learning English as a second language might be challenging, especially when we develop the different skills at an old age. However, it is totally different when learners start to develop them at a young age. The most early this process starts, the best results are acquired.

    Facts about Language with examples

Fact 1. Language is both creative and functional: from my point of view, each language is unique. The speaker might feel free to express their ideas and thoughts in the way they think is right as long as the message is being functional. In other words, what is important is that the message could be understood for the ones that are listening.
    Examples:
    1. A little kid doesn’t know about Grammar, so he/she speaks by using phrases or utterances. The child creates his/her way to speak and it will be functional if the message is understood by the listeners.
    2. When expressing emotions, the language is very creative. And it always works when the speaker uses gestures to pattern what he/she is saying with what he/she is feeling.

Fact 2. Language and Culture are closely related: Culture can probably shape the way we think. For that reason, language and culture share a close relationship. The way we act, and the values that we have gotten from our culture will determine our way to speak.
    For example:
    1. A kid, who comes from a very polite family with strong values, will show it in the way he/she answers. The expressions that he/she will use and even the way they will react to different feelings like anger, happiness, etc. When learning English this child will want to learn phrases according to their family’s vocabulary.
    2. The teachers will share their knowledge according to their culture as well.

Fact 3. Language is systematic: As I said before, each language is unique, and have its own grammatical, phonological, etc. structures. For Example
    1. Learners will probably get confused when acquiring English because they will know that they need to organize their thoughts to structure sentences in a different way that their mother tongue.

    Emergent Literacy at home

Family plays an important role in the learning process; that is why the awareness of reading and writing at a young age is vital.
    1. Parents should stimulate their kids since the pregnancy time. (With music, reading stories, etc.)
    2. Teach the kids to recognize and classify objects according to color, size. Etc.
    3. Help to recognize letters and sounds through songs and games.
    4. Teach kids how to react to different feelings.
    5. Reading before the child sleeps. ( Culture issue)

    Emergent Literacy in the classroom

At the school, pre-school teachers continue motivating young learners to acquire language skills in dynamic ways through Learning Centers.
    1. Daily Routines (songs about days of the week, months of the year, colors, body parts, etc.)
    2. Developing classroom procedures ( what we do in the classroom for each activity)
    3. Develop creativity in students by using “The art or creating Center”
    4. Writing Center, to help them develop good hand wring and the correct form to trace letters.
    5. Table toys Center, which will help them think about that through playing we can also learn. (learning game)

  6. To answer the firs statement there are three facts that catch my attention.
    a) First fact is Language change: we all know that life change through years, new requirements are been request, new technology devises, and of course language been the most important way to communicate must change as well , that’s why new words are created to explain in an understandable way. People obligation is to be aware of new variations that way they can be capable in the new generation.
    b) Second fact language can be non-verbal as well as verbal: to communicate in an accurate way we must interact with whoever we are talking, sometimes our articulations sound different than what we show with our gestures and vice versa, this fact is very important because we all are different, think about a situation that you are trying to talk to a friend a pitch pollution spot, or someone with APD (AUDITORY PROCESSING DISORDERS) which is very common present days, as teachers we must be aware and try to include students with this type of situations, but how to handle that? Well applying this fact, I consider this very important in all situations in our lives, remember language is for negotiating, communicating, solving problems etc. Better communication will give satisfy results.
    c) The last fact that catches my attention is language and culture are closely related: we all know that when we learn or teach a second language is mandatory to teach culture and all related to the target language, in fact, history must be taught along with grammar, but what is the reason? well to my point of view is that how will you learn something new without knowing the past of it, its importance, its origin, etc.? how will you understand if you don't have an idea about culture facts, beliefs, customs, important fact about the creation of the language, origin of some words, how will you produce if you have non a base about the second language.is easy to have a better comprehension if you understand the country, celebrations, some countries have a different point of view, and if we want to communicate in an accurate way we have to understand that to avoid offences.

  7. Second question is about how family can start developing EMERGENT LITERACY
    1. Take time: what I am trying to say that parents must pay attention to their kids probably are many excuses but children have to share time with parents for example.
    • Take at least one hour of your time it doesn’t matter how tire you are, your child will appreciate the sound of your voice, to see your face, a hug, just to feel wanted.
    • Be careful of the language you use in front your kid, pupils are very smart and they catch everything that is going on In their environment, try to teach words that can help him to survive while you are no with him or her.
    2. Never is too early: Teaching and learning process don’t have beginning neither end.
    • When is the best time to stimulate my son or daughter? Never is too early, I believe that a baby as soon as he come to the world the learning process began for both sides.
    • Early literacy is actually one of the main bases for the child successes, the much your kid learn the more he or she will know. Every time you are sharing time with your baby teach something new, and reinforce what you have though before.
    3. Selecting material: this is one of the difficult stages for teacher and parents there it go the big question what to buy or to teach my baby without been pushing too much and frustrate him or her.
    • Well if you are an inexperience parent ask a psychology professional to help guide you, but it is too expensive try from the simple to the complex, remember early literacy is gradually, we are building up step by step. Maybe sound recognition.
    • Also try to use house resources, in other words realia, the most expose to real situations the most significant and understandable for your child.
    4. Daily routines: try to follow up what you have tough to your kid.
    • Let’s say that last week you told about colors, well review color and add objects, and show the object in real life.
    • Always correct at the moment and do it in a nice way, children are very smart and they understand.
    5. Something really important is that you must include your kid in real life situation.
    • Give responsibilities at home
    • Ask for help, and let him or her explain why.
Parents must take in account that if the plan is to enroll the child in a bilingual school they must start learning as well, before the school time begins, something else that I would like to mention is to use technology it could be a good tool as long as you supervise your kid, and is done in an accurate way.

  8. Preschool teacher can continue developing emergent literacy
School know as a second home, I believe the preschool teachers job is very important because is the level where pupils must be adapt to a new life, first day out the house, with many strangers, than can be difficult and frustrate to anybody, and that’s way I believe that to be a pre k teacher you must love what you do a lot. I will mention five ways and how teachers can reinforce what have thought at home.
    • Parents – teachers communication, I believe is the best way to keep the same line in children, what I am trying to say is that parents must aware teacher about child difficulties, and that’s why I have recommend above that parents must interact daily with their kids.
    • Teacher and parents meeting the many need it.
    • Written agendas or website in order to communicate homework, or activities. Is one of the good ways to keep parents informed and involve them in all the children accomplishments?
    • Be proactive: pre k teacher must use a lot of teaching aids and in this point there are many things that teacher must take into account, selecting color, selecting type of letter( remember kids are about to learn how to read and write and if teacher writing is not understandable pupils must follow patterns) corners are a very helpful tool, like puppets, toys, big books, computers and data show etc.
    • Select colorful visual aids according topics, be careful with the size and letter patterns, they must be round, clear and clean.
    • It is possible use real life stuff to teach, things that can be manipulate for little ones, be aware of material and avoid those than can cause allergy( this is another reason why communication between parents and teacher is very important)

    • Select content: probably we might think that text book gives all content, but in Pre k, and in teaching in general is very important to select what content can be significant according ages.
    • Probably to teach general things like the parts of the body or school rooms can be a good way to start, but always remember to follow daily routines in order to reinforce prior knowledge, and make a connection with the new contents.
    • Recognizing sounds can be easy for them by music and mimicry, also relate them with routine words and images or real objects.
    • Work self confidence in students: at this point teacher must work affective part in order to be effective, kids at school must be happy all the time which basically means have fun while they learn.
    • Do not tag the low level students at your class, always give same opportunities to all of them, correct them at the moment but in a polite way and encourage them to keep trying the much as possible.
    • Assign responsibilities, give them commands. Award them when needs it and let them know if they have to be trying in a clear way.
    • Do not ever teach isolated words: when we teach a second language the whole idea is make our students to produce, not to be a parrots repeating all the time.

    • Select fun activities for significant vocabulary that can help the learning process successful, for example use the word apple in many ways, shows green apples, red apples, yellow apples, etc. make oral sentences with the word apple, use your students name that way they will feel include, or sing the song of somebody took the cookie ? But change let’s use apple instead of cookie and so on. You can also ask them to move all over around and dance for a little bit.

Remember to give command in the target knowledge and follow up, also encourage your students to produce the language, correct them in a nice way, and give them love.

  9. •Facts of the language
1.Language change: in general, It’s the process of modification and
transformation that all the language in the world experiment.
2.Language is systematic: the language is a systematic media that
    use sound or conventional symbols.
3.Language and culture are closely: the culture changes the language
because in each one there is a variety of concepts that have
different meaning depend on the culture.

Example 1: the colors are the same in the world but there is a
    combination that has different meaning.
Example 2: people can acquire a language only if it is exposed, there
is a girl who was closed by many years, then when she was
found she just pronounces the sound of the dogs that she
    heard all the time.

    Language Use

Language ability is a direct outgrowth of a child’s use of symbols and representational thinking (the ability to have one thing stand for another). According to Russian researcher Lev Vygotsky

    Language Development

By the age of three, most children have considerable experience with language. They can understand most sentences, understand the use of basic prepositions (e.g., on, in, under), and use pronouns such as I, you.

    Literacy Development

The preschool years are the time during which children’s emergent literacy abilities develop. In fact, these skills are the foundation onto which children’s later reading and academic abilities will build off of. Most important for literacy is the development of phonological awareness (often called phonemic awareness), the ability to recognize and manipulate the sound units that make up words, be these individual phonemes (sounds) or syllables

    Universal language

may refer to a hypothetical or historical language spoken and understood by all or most of the world's population. In some contexts, it refers to a means of communication said to be understood by all living things, beings, and objects alike.

    A Language is a Systematic

Means of Communication by the Use of Sounds or Conventional Symbols. A Language is a Systematic Means of Communication .

  11. *Facts about language:
    1. Language is a human universal: when we talk about this fact, we refer to different cultures, through these cultures, we can enrich the language that children are learn.
Ex. Communication with people of different place. In other words the interaction with more children of the same age.

    2. Language is both creative and functional: Through of language, we have to ease to express feelings and emotions.
Ex. Relation with the enviroment through games, sounds, colors, etc.

    3. Language change: When we talk about change, we talk of evolution, we refer that language is in movement, and it is not static.
Ex. Children adapt language to their needs and their enviroment.

  12. three facts about language
 The language is universal: As we know each country, each culture has an idiom to communicate with other.
 The language is systematic: As we know each language has its own rules, structure.
 The language can be verbal and no verbal: in preschool is very important to handle both verbal and no verbal because as we know some children learn with different ways and we have to be able tonshow with our body and our voice what we want they learn.

    For example
 If we have a student with language problems we have to have a correct gesticulation and pronunciation so that the children are able to understand and reproduce what is being taught.

 A clear example is when we are learning a second language and it has different grammatical rules than the mother tongue, it is difficult to understand and manage these rules.

Five ways in which parents and family members can start developing "Emergent Literacy" at home.

 As we know the family play an important role in the learning process, the parents have to prepare the kind to school life, they have to be excellent teacher if they want a competitive child. In my point of view the parents have to teach little but important things to their children.
    1. The have to teach them to name objects, vocabulary, sing songs, play etc.
    2. Daily routines: it’s important that the chindren remind what they learn yesterday, and follow up a list of activities, and learn new things.
    3. Read stories with them and try to involved them in the process
    4. Talk about real situations and how to unwrap in it
    5. Spent the most time with them.
Five ways in which preschool teachers can continue developing "Emergent Literacy" once students arrive to their classroom.

 The preschool teachers have to be creative and try to make them feel at home that they do not see much difference
    1. The teacher has to follow up a routine, remind them the days of the week, the numbers, colors etc.
    2. The teacher has to teach with fun activities, teach songs, the alphabet, and the letters sound and make the process funny for them
    3. The teacher has to take the time until his stunders understand the topic.
    4. Read aloud
    5. The teachers have to be proactive and they will have a good relationship with all the people that are involved in the process

  13. Mention three facts about language, explain each one of them in your own words, and provide two examples on how each one of them applies to English.

    1. Language is a human universal: is consider that the language is universal because all people around the word know a system and its structure of the language.

Example 1: we as students of a foreign language, we are learning how to use the system of another language; we commit errors because we are no native speaker that can correct those error that we cannot. However, the main idea of this is that we can learn because we have the capacity to understand the system of another language.

Example: another example why it is universal because we have the capacity to learn many languages, and make successful communication with others.

    2. Language is systematic: As well, we know around the world any people know about a system of a language, that has its characteristics. However, I can say that some of them are no equal but little similar like the romances languages like, Italian and Spanish they have similarities between them.

Example can be when in Italian people say. Mi nome e’ and Spanish is Mi nombre es.

Example: second example is that same people with the same system of language they can create or stablish rules about the use of that system of the language.

    3. Language changes: If the same people use the same system of language perfectly can change some words or meaning of the words. before people maybe use different phrses or give another meaning to the words that we use nowaday.
Example: we craete new words that people that know the system of the language understand.
Example: the language can change depends or according to the social context or culture.

Mention at least five ways in which parents and family members can start developing "Emergent Literacy" at home.

    1. Parenst have to inculcate values to little kids that is something that is going to help them in the social contex, that they will be involve.

    2. Say to little kids the correct pronunciation of sound according to their native language, that is some that is going to help little kids to speak as well as possible.

    3. Family play an important factor because they create different environment full of experiences to the little kids. Littles kids will be cover of that and that can help to them to face the real life.

    4. Parent have to teach to little kid to be tolerant, and respect the opinions, or characteristics of any person.

    5. Motivate to littles kid do not be afrain to talk with others, or to talk about any topic, because in littles kids open their curiosity to learn something new in important.

Mention at least five ways in which preschool teachers can continue developing "Emergent Literacy" once students arrive to their classroom.

    1. Teachers can continue with the correct pronunciation of word, is importan littles kid speak, and read as well as possible.

    2. Teachers can continue motivating to little kids to talk or speak a bout any topic inside and outside the classroom, making activities that little kids can interact each other.

    3. Improve or teach values that is an important factor because is one of the key to create good people that can help to others in the future.

    4. Teacher has to create little spaces of simulation about the real life like the centers, about library, market etc. something like that that can help to them to face the real life.

    5. Encourage the student to participate actively in the class giving commments, talk about any topic to lose afraid and be the best speaker.

  14. Mention three facts about language, explain each one of them in your own words, and provide two examples on how each one of them applies to English.
1.-Language is systematic: means of communicating by the use of sounds or symbols. it is the code that we use to express our feelings, emotion, etc. It is a system of signs that speakers learn and retain in their memory and It is a code that every speaker-listener knows. This code, known and respected by all those who speak a language, allows to encrypt and decrypt messages.
•Examples: as the gesture, as the drawing, as even the dress itself, cultures, music, costumes, etc.
2.-Language is both creative and functional: Language users manipulate their linguistic resources to produce new expressions and new sentences. This property of human language is known as productivity or creativity. Speaker´s ability to combine the basic linguistic units. All animal signals, on the other hand, have a feature called fixed reference that means each signal is fixed as relating to a particular object or occasion.
•Examples: the language is acquired according to the place where we are, for example a person who is from Spain but has lived most of his/her life in the USA will acquire the language of this country.
•Examples: jargon, are the different ways of communicating with the purpose of not being understood by others (for example in jail) or with differentiating intent (from some neighborhoods and teenagers).

Language can be verbal as well as verbal: We communicate with much more than words: when we interact with someone, our body has a language of its own. The way we sit, the gestures we make, the way we talk, how much eye contact we make .All of these are non-verbal ways of communicating that impact the messages our words are sending. Examples: 1. Rhythm, intonation and stress placed on words
    2. Tone of voice

Language and culture are closely related: The relation of culture and language is the way they share human values, realities and behaviours of a social group. Examples:
    1. A way to learn English is in a social group like at University or in a Social web.
    2. As teachers we can share our values and behaviours.

Human beings have innate capacity to learn language: All people have the capacity to learn a language unless they are severely neurologically impaired. Examples:

  25. 1. Mention three facts about language, explain each one of them in your own words, and provide two examples on how each one of them applies to English.
    Language is a human universal
Language is definitely universal because that is how humans communicate, express their ideas, feelings and thoughts. You can go deep in the jungle and find humans who have not been exposed to modern society and they have language that they use to communicate with each other. It is an inherent human trait. The human animal is adapted to utilize language to express itself, it doesn’t matter how but will find a way to communicate. Example 1, when we are traveling around the world we need to use the language to communicate, the most common use in English because many countries use it for different purposes. Example: the immigrant need to communicate with other to get a job or buy supplies.
Language beings have an innate capacity to learn language.
Every person in the world has the capacity to learn a language, we need to understand that is a process in which the brain develop different skills and abilities to increase the knowledge and use this knowledge to communicate what they need, just the people who have serious clinic problem is much hard. Example 1: we can see the process of how a baby develop the ability to communicate and let the other people know what he or she needs. Example 2: If a Honduran go to the United State he needs to find a way to communicate with the American, for the reason he is going to begin learning a new language, this process is called immersion.
Language and culture closely related. Language is universal among humans. Different cultures and groups of people all over the world all independently developed their own ways to communicate, and we still have thousands of different languages today. I haven't heard of any group of humans anywhere that doesn't communicate verbally with some form of language. Example 1: in Honduras we have different cultures, and each culture have their own dialect to communicate between. It’s going to have different characteristics depending the culture. Example 2: In our beautiful country we use different words to communicate for example paja o wirro, we understand this kind of vocabulary because is part of our culture.

    THREE FACTS OF LANGUAGES:

    Laguage is a human universal:
All the humanity show different way of communication because is something that it is a necessity to be able to interact in a society and trafer their thougths is something that is essential language and the base is the communication.

Language is systematic: all the laguage are different have different ways to express and to communicate with others using the different structures of the the societies I think is about a relation beetwen culture language.

Language is both creatiue and functional: why? because a language have different ways of comprehesion and you have the posibility to change and create depent of the structure or culture that you belong maybe you can see a million ways to pronounce a word in a language but have the same meeting or defferent thats the interesting part of the language.

    EXAMPLES:

As a teacher you can compare with the student the different ways to pronounce a word maybe with a town and with the city and word maybe has a different sound but the mean of the word is the same foe that reason is universal.

another example that you can apply is maybe give to the students a word and they have to create another word that have a relation with the first but not have to be same word maybe using synomnyms.
